[comp.lang.pascal] VGA 256 colors

afoiani@dante.nmsu.EDU (Anthony Foiani) (06/24/89)

Hello! I am working on a (very) simple ray tracing program in Turbo
Pascal 5.0. I am wondering how to access 320x200x256colors on a ps/2
VGA display.

Any help would be appreciated. I looked through the books, but I
couldn't find anything along those lines; nor does there appear to be
a dedicated VGA256 mode.

Thanks,

If you have access to CompuServe or GEnie, pick up the BGI Toolkit from
the Borland SIGs there. Otherwise, your choices are calling Borland and
asking them to ship it out to you on disk, or waiting for me to get it
sent to Rahul Dhesi for posting on comp.binaries.ibm.pc.

There is a VGA256.BGI in the toolkit along with tools for "rolling your
own" BGIs and fonts.
