because I didn't keep my last message, and I'm working on two different machines (one to test what I write and the other to write the letters) but I think there was a mistake in my example. The READLN should be before the while loop starts, not in it. Sorry if that confused people, I tested it correctly but I think I transposed it in the letter. (a very red faced) Robert Keiser
