Does anyone have recommendations for a GOOD beginning/intermediate book on Pascal? Specifically, Turbo Pascal for the IBM PC v5.0 (let's not worry about OOP for now...). I would like to get a book which has the basics of the language presented succinctly and moves rapidly from beginning level programming to intermediate (or even some advanced) programming techniques. Some information about the BGI and the library procedures would also be helpful. It should probably include programming exercises. Demo programs (w/ source) would be nice. This is for two (bright) people who would like to learn the language quickly. I think this is (for all intents an purposes) the first language for both of them, so some basics of programming would probably be useful. Please email replies (slewis@oregon.uoregon.edu) as I do not regularly read this newsgroup. Thanksinadvance, Scott Lewis
