See O'Brien, Turbo Pascal, The Complete Reference.  You might also
take a look at /pc/ts/tsfunc13.arc for a working application. 
Available by anonymous ftp from chyde.uwasa.fi, but no source there. 
Also, a recent PC-Magazine published such a parser, but in
assembler.
