Is there anybody interested in documental thesaurus on-line maintenance on PC's? (Speaking about tematic thesaurus for documental databases or library catalogues, not synonym dictionaires.) I'm doing a TP program using Turbo DataBase ToolBox that will be distributed as freeware (true "free") by an educational public institution here in Catalonia (Europe). It's an interactive environtment that allows to update an consult thesaurus terms, relations and scope notes, and that can generate listing in several formats (alphabetic, single-level thesaurus, KWIC and rotation index, systematic thesaurus, etc...). I have ready an English test version - it's about 70 Kb on disk and needs 300 Kb RAM to run. A one thousand terms thesaurus may fit on a 360 K b diskette depending on number of key words. I'd like to meet people interested in its documental or its algorithmic aspects. Any contact is welcome. --Josep Sau B. <ZCCBJSB@EB0UB011> ------------------------------------------------------------------ 'Every science needs the right words to be expressed the right way' Raimundus Lulius (Catalan philosopher) ------------------------------------------------------------------
