I just talked to the people at Borland about the TP 6.0 Pro upgrade for those of us who bought TP 5.5 and the Debugger and Tools seperatly. Apparently Borland considers this the same as if you bought the Pro version in the first place. The woman at Borland told me I only needed the TP 6.0 regular version, but when I told her I wanted the protected mode compiler, she said if I sent the serial number from both TP and TD (along with $99), I could get the 6.0 Pro version. Also, FYI, Borland is apparently using the new TurboVision for in house development (they used BGI stuff for Quattro Pro), and it will be coming out for Turbo C++ in the near future. The new TP editor is written using it. And, lastly, no more TINST, TP 6.0's environment is completely editable from inside, no more quitting when you want to change colors (and its about time). - Z - +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | PauL M SchwartZ | | | PSCHWART@macc.wisc.edu | Your message here... | | PSCHWART@wiscmacc.BitNet | only 5$ per post | | (608)255-5702 | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
