[comp.lang.pascal] mouse vanishes in tp6.0

Do you mean it just vanishes completely or just on the bottom half
of a 43/50 line screen? If it just at the bottom of the screen then
update your mouse driver.

Every once in a while (more often than I like it) my mouse just dissapears
from my TP 6.0 desktop. Until now I noticed it happening only after
running some application in the IDE (no it's not in the application !!, most
of the tvguide.. files do it as well).

I'd like to know if there are more people having the same problem, and if
somebody knows what to do about it. It's a hell of a lot of work to leave
the IDE and start it up again, just to get my mouse back on screen.....

It's the version of your mouse driver I think. I had exactly the same problem
with TC++. In my case it meant upgrading GMOUSE from 8.07 to 8.20 and using
the .COM driver only. I hope this helps.

This also occurs in Turbo C++ 1.00. Apparently the IDE is hiding the mouse
cursor when it runs the application (which it should), but not restoring it
when the program terminates. The workaround is to repaint the desktop (via
the 'Repaint Desktop' item in the system menu (you know, the menu indicated
by the biconditional symbol)).
