[comp.lang.pascal] VGA graphics and Turbo pascal

simmons@cs.odu.edu (Gregory S. Simmons) (12/21/90)

I have been playing with my VGA monitor and variouse BGI files recently
and can't seem to find a decent *.BGI file that allows me to access
a mode for 256 colors and 640-400 pixels. I should be able to do this
with my hardware but can't find a BGI file that allows me. I have glanced
through the file avail on simtel20 and they didn't seem to help. Some-
body got an idea of how I can get this? (It's kinda important, so all
help appreciated).

PS I can get 16 colors and 640-400 or
256 colors and 320-200 (or something like that).

Since you don't specify what files you looked at, let me ask for the
general information of comp.lang.pascal. Did you test vga256.zip?
(I haven't myself). If you did, what was wrong with it? If you did
not, it is (also) available as /pc/programming/vga256.zip from
uwasa.fi archives.
