Sat 12-Jan-91: I have updated the material in my Frequently Asked Questions collection to be /pc/ts/tsfaq16.arc at the uwasa.fi anonymous FTP archives. Many of the old answers have been amplified, and there are new questions & answers including: How can I link graphics drivers directly into my executable? Which is better, Procomm Plus or Telix? How can I trap a Turbo Pascal runtime error? Many of questions and answers should be of interest to all UseNet readers. New UseNet news users will find much information on UseNet usage and advice on the rules on using the net. What to do and what not to do. As a speciality there is separate section for Turbo Pascal programmers. You are welcome to email me for instructions how to download tsfaq16.arc if you do not know. Just a side comment... Why not consider Telemate 2.11 and review it.. I'm a former user of Procomm Plus & Telix.. Telemate 2.11 is better than both Procomm Plus & Telix.. i.e MultiTasking Kernel, Learning mode, Clipboard Fully customizable, Dos window (full dos window), swappable to expanded memory, editor, viewer... It's everything a communication software should be.

Telemate 2.11 is better than : All constructive feedback like this is certainly welcome, and encouraged, and I'll post instead of mailing to emphasize the fact. I'll have to think about looking at Telemate, but you'll have to note that what I wrote about Telix, Procomm+ and MsKermit is based on extensive usage of these packages by yours truly. So the observations on Telemate couldn't be on the same level, at least for awhile. BTW I've heard many positive comments about Telemate, which is available from the /pc/comm directory at uwasa.fi archives as tm211-1.zip, tm211-2.zip, tm211-3.zip. (If there is a more recent version, please let us know.) (Especially new users note how I've directed potential replys to comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d. only, because that's where this discussion best belongs.) ...................................................................
