i plan to get turbo c++ and turbo pascal 6.0 once they're available at cheap price. is trubo pascal professional compatible with turbo c++? i mean, if you have the professional packages from either turbo pascal or turbo c++, do you need the one from the other?

Just make sure you have the latest version available for either compiler. Borland has made "asynchronous" changes (most notably in OOP) in both languages that affect the debugger's ability to interpret object hierarchies. Bob Beauchaine bobb@vice.ICO.TEK.COM

Yes, they are, but be sure to get the tp6 prof. package since tpcx, the
protected mode pascal compiler is only included in the prof. package not
in the ordinary tp6.

Just make sure you have the latest version available for 95% the same. You need TP Pro to get TPCX (extended memory command line compiler). I don't think this available from the TC++ Prof package. Bottom line: Get TP6.0 Pro and TC++ (normal version) and you won't miss out on anything -- Scott Bostater Georgia Tech Research Institute - Radar Systems Analysis "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him" -Ps 62.1 uucp: ...!{allegra,amd,hplabs,ut-ngp}!gatech!prism!bb16 Internet: bb16@prism.gatech.edu
