Anonymous ftp sites are (usually) Unix or VMS computers which have collections of shareware and PD programs available for public download. To use anonymous ftp your system must have an FTP (file transfer protocol) capability. If you want to know more about anonymous ftp, the very first thing to do is to ask your own system manager (or a corresponding dignitary :-) for more information.
