[comp.lang.pascal] Floating point performance of Pascal wrt Fortran

Hi,

	Forgive me if this is a often repeated question.

	How good is pascal for numerical algorithms compared to fortran.

	For example, In C, the calculations are done in double precision

which will result in speed loss. Also, I think ( may be wrong ) that the

the intrinsic function calls in fortran is more efficient than in C.

	Can someone let me know the advantages and disadvantages of using

pascal for numerical work.
