Hi. I have two questions to the members of this newsgroup.
1) I have TP 5.5 but do not have the tool boxes and wish to
upgrade to 6.0. How does one 'upgrade.' I tried going to
the place where I bought the original tp5.5 and they told
me I should contact Boreland. . . How should one go about
upgradng? And if someone could tell me how much it costs that
would also be appreciated.
2) I'm writing a moderate sized program that prompts for
input while in graphics mode. Specifically, I am
filling string fields in a record, which is than added to
a linked list. What is the proper way to read in strings
while in graphics mode?
What I am doing is creatinga window in the middle of
the screen and using outtext to display several feilds that
I want the user to fill. I am unable to use readln, because
than the cursor is at the top of the screen, ie not in the
predetermined spot in the window and is no longer in the font
I am using.
I hope this explanation is not too confusing. What I am
currently doing is using Readkey to read a charectar, than check
if its a special charectar, if not outtext it to the current
position and append it an array of charectars. Note: this means
I am no longer using the string type and I am writing my own
procedure for the delete key.
Well, I would REALLY appreciate any help I can get with these
questions. I hope I haven't overlooked an obvious answer! But,
maybe, sometime in the future I'll know the answers when someone new
like me asks the same questions.
