I too had the problem of an invisible mouse in TP6.0 IDE after running any program. I solved the problem by upgrading my old MOUSE.COM to a newer MOUSE.SYS. I now load the mouse driver in CONFIG.SYS, rather than in my AUTOEXEC. Now I have a new problem... PCSHELL, which is installed memory resident, comes up with NO MOUSE (not invisible, just no mouse). If I run PCSHELL from the command line, it recognizes the mouse and all is well. If I invoke the memory resident version on top of that, The mouse cursor is visible, but the program does not recognize the mouse at all. I am open to suggestions after having spent several hours trying various things. I have a PRO-CORP serial mouse (COM1) which appears to be Microsoft compatible. Turbo Pascal 6.0 and PCTools V5.5. Is there any difference between installing a device driver from config.sys rather than from the command line (via autoexec.bat)? My upgraded mouse driver only came with MOUSE.SYS. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Tim Margush R1TMARG@AKRONVM.BITNET Department of Mathematical Sciences R1TMARG@VM1.CC.UAKRON.EDU University Of Akron R1TMARG@AKRONVM.UAKRON.EDU Akron, OH 44325 (216) 972-7109
