I have been made aware of the following product which may be of interest to netters involved in semiconductors. The following is a new product announcement which will appear in 1 or 2 trade magazines soon. I believe the price for the database is quite reasonable, something around $200. Anyway, here it is: SRC DATABASE OF FACULTY RESEARCHERS A computer database of faculty engaged in microelectronics-related research is now available. This valuable directory contains information for over 800 faculty members across the USA who are actively engaged in microelectronics-related research, including specific research interests both in the words of the researcher, and classified by a 29-point research taxonomy. The database, a computerized version of the recently published "1990 SRC U.S. Faculty Source Book," can be used to identify researchers with specific technology topics of interest. According to the Director of the Fairchild Research Center, National Semiconductor Corp.: "... the SRC has done another good turn for the industry by giving us this directory of the university research staffs. Often the effort to find the best source of information in the univeristies has been too difficult. Now, it will be easier." The directory is available in various database formats for both PC-compatible and Macintosh (TM) computers. For information contact: Higher Education Publications, Inc. 6400 Arlington Blvd., Suite 648 Falls Church, VA 22042 (703) 532-2300, Fax: (703) 532-2305. Please do not reply to me at my email address about this. Thank you.
