Although I am not familiar with the details, I know it has something to do with the fact that the colors coming from a C.R.T are being GENERATED by the tube, not reflected. In the case of colors being generated by a device, red, green, and blue are the primary colors. Hope that helps! p.s. - This is my first posting to usenet.
