[sci.lang] Categorization and Interconfusable Alternatives

Stevan Harnad's notion of "interconfusable alternatives" turns up
in natural language understanding.  In _The Tomorrow Makers_, author
Grant Fjermedal quotes an example from Danny Hillis:

	1.  The astronomer married the star.

	2.  The movie producer married the star.
