I am asking on behalf of a friend involved in writing some software, for his PhD in Linguistics, about the availability, pros and cons for Lisp and Prolog for the Mac. He is after a version of either that is fairly fast at runtime. Preferably a compiled or partially compiled one, but at the same time he would like the implemenation to be as full as possible. The ability to link code from a C compiler would be a definite advantage. At the moment the software is under development on a PC using Turbo Prolog but he would like to shift.
