[sci.math.stat] Cluster Analysis, PC ?

berke@maui.cs.ucla.edu (Peter Berke) (03/15/88)

Do you know of a good package for doing cluster analysis
on the IBM PC? Do you have a mainframe favorite for
cluster analysis? How about a favorite reference
text on the subject?

It would be most helpful to know of a good PC product
that did cluster analysis. If there isn't one,
I'd appreciate any detail on your favorite
algorithms for same.

Thank you,

Peter Berke

I use a program written by John Wood from Northern AZ Univ
that does 8 different cluster models. You can call him at
602-523-3180 or contact him via Bitnet at cms008@nauvm.
I don't believe he charges anything. You might also try
Systat, it is a very powerfull stat package and they offer
special deals to educational institutions.
