The Centre is to be directed by PROFESSOR BOUALEM BOASHASH, who
has recently taken the Chair of Signal Processing.

Professor Boashash transferred to QUT from the University of
Queensland at the end of April this year.  The CRISSP research
team also transferred.

The Centre presently has eight academic positions and fourteen
PhD students.  It is equipped with state of the art signal
processing facilities, and a network of workstations.  Computer
facilities include access to a Convex Supercomputer.  It is
composed of three research laboratories: Speech
Processing/Data Compression Group, Image Processing/Computer
Vision Group and Signal Theory and Digital Spectral Analysis
Group.
