What does all this discussion of FTL travel have to do with the Death
Star weapon? Sometimes net discussions go off on tangents, but
this has gotten ridiculous. All you need to do is edit the
subject line when you post a followup, as I have done, and presto!
The title jibes with the content. Easy!
Now, for those of you who carp at FTL travel: A hell of a lot of
good SF depends on FTL travel, and telling us that it doesn't
work, even if it doesn't, is like telling a little kid that Santa
Claus is just a lie his parents have been telling. Tsk, tsk.
I *need* to believe in FTL travel, ever since the tooth fairy stopped
leaving me money. Move this discussion to net.physics and leave us
to indulge in our fantasies, will you?
