In article <19290@ames.arc.nasa.gov> lamaster@ames.arc.nasa.gov (Hugh LaMaster) suggests: >Try looking at Spivak's book. Of course, many people won't like it, >because it takes too long to get to the "tricks". I presume this means Spivak's `Calculus', from Publish or Perish Inc. Well, *I* liked it. (We used it in freshman Honors Calc., in which I did not do well. Sigh. But I still remember his peculiar derivation for the trig functions....) -- In-Real-Life: Chris Torek, Univ of MD Comp Sci Dept (+1 301 454 7163) Domain: chris@mimsy.umd.edu Path: uunet!mimsy!chris
