[sci.math] Queries regarding triangulation on a surface

cen466p@vaxc.cc.monash.edu.au (01/18/90)

Hi,

In my previous posting a followup (article 1322, comp.graphics) my
E-mail address is wrong. I am posting this again with minor modifications.
Also out of 3 questions, 1 has been answered (TAs Raymond and Siedel).

 (1) Is there any standard method of triangulation on a cylindrical surface ?
or on a torus. Any pointers is appreciated.

 (2) When triangulation is done on sets of points with each set is the replica
of other but for an origin shift, will the triangulation repeat itself for
every set (all sets are taken together for triangulation) ?

    Many TAs. Partha
