I have just finished installing the new version of emTeX; I want to use the version of LaTeX that comes with it. No problem producing the DVI file. But when I try to print the DVI file (to an HPLJ II), I have problems because I am using the AMS symbol and fraktur fonts. In one of the emTeX documents, there is the following statement: Using fonts from other sources. This is discouraged. If this is necessary or desirable, then the font emsy9 must be created. The METAFONT source for this font will be found in EMSY.ZIP. The paths will also be different and will need changing. As a novice with TeX, I find this a bit daunting; has anyone gone through this procedure with the AMS fonts, and would you be willing to share the results with me? Carl Riehm.
