The very first time I read the "bring the collectable coins forward" theory was in (of all places) a Scrooge McDuck comic. They brought up the issue of "hey, this is brand new", but it was considered a feature, not a bug. (This magazine had a wealth of good SF ideas in it.) So let's cross the rubicon; where *would* you cache your cash for a few hundred years? It would help if your "time belt" (ala "The Man Who Folded Himself") is also a teleport device; any recently dug up cavern or tomb would do, as would catacombs of old museums. Anyone who suggests safe deposit boxes doesn't remember what the average life expectancy was for banks before FDIC.
