The Project Manager for Smoke and Obscurants is sponsoring Smoke/Obscurants
Symposium XI to conducted at the Kossiakoff Conference and Education Center,
Laurel, MD from 21-23 April 1987. Over 60 papers will be presented on topics
ranging from smoke and electo-optical systems development to testing, modeling,
and, tactics and doctrine. during the three days. Keynote addresses will be
delivered by Lieutenant General Skibbie, Deputy Commanding General for Reseach,
Development and Acquistion, US Army Materiel Command and by Major General
Otstott, Deputy Commanding General for the Combined Arms Center, Fort Leaven-
worth, Kansas.
There is no registration fee, but Secret security clearances are required and
should be provided to PM Smoke/Obscurants, Attn: Mrs. Hagy, Building 324,

All DOD, contractor, academia and foreign allies are invited. Further
