Does anyone on the net live in an area where the new series of Dr. Who with Peter Davison is being shown? I understand they were supposed to be available after the first of the year. Here in Chicago, they are still showing the old series with Tom Baker (I'm not complaining) and will continue to do so at least through February (I just received the new Dial magazine and they list the titles up through the end of February). If anyone is currently watching the Peter Davison series, where do you live and how do you like them so far? I would be interested in knowing your impression of how he compares to Tom Baker. I've just had the great misfortune of missing the last episode of John Pertwee's episode, "Planet of the Spiders." I had seen the first five, and then missed that final last episode. I know Pertwee "dies" in that episode, and I missed it!!!!! Anyway, if anyone can send me a capsule summary of that episode, I could find some consolation. By the way, about the new newsgroup, instead of discussing it, why not just start a newsgroup and see if it works. I don't think most people really care whether it's a top-level group or not. Thanks, Andrew Garrett

They're sort of like jelly beans (I think that they also bear a certain
resemblance to Gummy-Bears).

A Jelly Baby is NOT a preserve made from human children, it is, however a sweet manufactured by Rowntree (in England). The sweets come in various unnatural colours and flavors, and are shaped into more or less human forms. Aside from their nutritional value, they can be used as a weapon (The Face of Evil). They may just be jelly beans.
