Where are you people buying your dictionaries these days? My
"Webster's New World Dictionary" has the defninitiona and derivation of
excelsior:
"excelsior () adj, interj [see EXCEL] always upward --- n. long thin
wood shavings use for packing."
Not bad for $2.50. Who needs the Oxford-on-a-chip?
