This from the November 1989 issue of Aerospace America: CIA SATELLITE SEEN TUMBLING A secret CIA/USAF reconnaissance satellite put into orbit August 8 by the Space Shuttle Columbia has been seen tumbling by astronomers in seven countries, raising concerns about the mission's success. Photographs of the spacecraft show brilliant flashes of light every second, a sign of a spacecraft reflecting the Sun as it tumbles out of control. Who on the net has seen this one?
