It is not part of the series, strictly speaking. It's sort of a side trip to Earth, out of the normal flow of the series. It does explain a few things that aren't explained anywhere else (like some info about the Bellers), but not a whole lot. This book has been republished a good deal more than the rest of the series, simply for this reason. Most any used book store should have a copy. Andy Sheppard Convex Computer Corporation
