             STS-37/GAMMA RAY OBSERVATORY - ATLANTIS (OV 104) - PAD 39-B
                               LAUNCH  --  EARLY APRIL


          WORK IN PROGRESS:
          *  Post transfer to pad securing operations
          *  Crew hatch functional and cycling operations
          *  Preparations for Auxiliary Power Unit hot fire tonight
          *  Preparations for liquid hydrogen dispersal system test
               tomorrow

          WORK COMPLETED:
          *  Rollout to pad 39-B first motion 10:50 p.m. Thursday
          *  Hard mate to pad 6:10 a.m. today
          *  GRO integration into Payload Changeout Room at pad B

          WORK SCHEDULED:
          *  APU hot fire (Friday)
          *  Right hand OMS pod gimbal profile operations (Saturday)
          *  Payload installation into orbiter payload bay (Sunday)
          *  Helium Signature test (Monday)
          *  Preparations for Pre-launch propellant load (Monday)
          *  Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (Crew arrival Sunday
               evening; T-0 11:00 a.m. Wednesday)


                   STS-39/DoD  -  DISCOVERY (OV 103)  -  OPF BAY 2
                          LAUNCH  --  LATE APRIL, EARLY MAY


          WORK IN PROGRESS:
          *  Power on preparations
          *  Crew module hatch access
          *  ET door hinge mechanism removal inspections and pre-operations

          WORK COMPLETED:
          *  Orbiter demate and lifting operations
          *  Roll back to OPF first motion 12:45 p.m. Thursday
          *  Jack and level operations in OPF

          WORK SCHEDULED:
          *  Remove ET door hinge mechanism early next week



          STS-40/SPACELAB LIFE SCIENCES 1 - COLUMBIA (OV 102)  -  OPF BAY 1

                                   LAUNCH  -  MAY


          WORK IN PROGRESS:
          *  Water Spray boiler servicing
          *  Auxiliary power unit preparations for fuel line connections
          *  Mid-body operations
          *  Thruster inspections and OMS pod functional operations
          *  Tile laser step and gap and water proofing operations
          *  Ammonia boiler servicing
          *  Transfer mobile launcher platform number 3 to VAB high bay 3

          WORK COMPLETED:
          *  Freon loop reservicing operations
          *  APU lube hot oil flush

          WORK SCHEDULED:
          *  OMS/FRCS functional and deservicing operations
          *  APU number 2 fuel line connections
          *  Solid rocket booster stacking operations in VAB high bay 3
