[misc.consumers] GATEWAY 2000, Bad Experience?

Recently I tried to reach one of the salemen of Gateway 2000.  Because
the advertised price was hard to ignore and because a lot of people
have been saying about their sweet experience with Gateway 2000, 
I am more than serious in making a deal with them.  The result is that
I could not get through their gatekeepers!  Everytime I called (more than
4 times), I was promised to have a callback, which was not realized!
I understand that by doing so, they can save their phone cost, but
still  I am waiting here.   Are they HOT enough to begin to disregard
future customers?  Do you have similar expeirience?

I've been told the same thing, but they really do call back.  My experience
has been that it might take several days.

When you do talk with them, remember the salesman's name and extension.
[S]he'll return you call eventually.  The one that I talk with says that
he is on commission (it means money in his pocket).  If you sound serious
to them, they'll respond.

Now if I can just decide on the monitor....
