I haven't yet seen the query about these stories, but I've seen a response summarizing many of them; it brings back memories. I really liked them also. I think I read them in two hardcover volumes from the public library; I've never owned them. I don't suppose there's ever been a paperback edition? (Incidentally, this is one reason I view getting recreational reading from libraries with suspicion; that library is now 1500 miles away, and the local one doesn't have Bullard.) I confess to liking Doc Smith's Lensman series somewhat better tha n Bullard; possibly partly because there was so much MORE of it. In fairness, and while still avoiding flamage, I must point out that even Kimball Kinnison becomes an administrator by the end of the series. -- David Dyer-Bennet -- ...decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-mrvax!ddb
