It struck me as a bit strange that Craig Werner would come forth with what might be interpreted as a self-justification in response to comments he had received. It seemed strange because I've always found his postings intelligent, intelligible, and full of useful information, and though I might perhaps find the *tone* a bit too crisp or too self-assured once in a while, that is *my* problem, not his. To some he may come across as hard-edged or otherwise not quite their style; I believe such an interpretation would not be fair to the man--he *clearly* is a truth- seeker, and I cannot think of one single person anywhere on the net (I regularly read about 120 groups) who tries harder to find the best terms for what he wants to convey. If I know the person (and I do, slightly), he would rather not be the topic here, when there are matters quite apart from himself that he would find more interesting: medicine, music, science in the root sense of the word, and above all, people in all their forms.
