If you are interested in learning about chakras, I recommend that you pick
up a text on yoga. If you are just interested in a general idea of where the
chakras are located, then let me tell you. The chakras begin at the base of
the spine (around the genitalia) and proceed upwards - corresponding roughly
to the spinal column. The uppermost chakra is located in the head (some say the
top of the head; others claim it is where the traditional 'third eye' is located
in the center of the forehead). Though, these chakras are energy centers - not
physical parts of the body. Often, various chakras are associated with an area
of the physical body. For instance, one of the chakras is referred to as the
heart chakra and - for all practical purposes - can be considerred to reside
in the area of the physical heart.
