[sci.med] Disclaimer on use of medical puzzles

werner@aecom.UUCP (Craig Werner) (11/02/86)

Seven months ago, I posted the collected medical puzzles 1-10.
Tonight I am reposting those and also 11-20. Perhaps someday, I get
to 30, but we'll burn that bridge when we come to it.
These may be reproduced, but please note, that if they are
distributed for any purpose where education is the goal, I would like
to know about it, since some puzzles are not up to contemporary
literary standards, or may contain subtle points that may be confusing
unless I have a chance to explain, elaborate, or edit.
Under no circumstances should they be used for diagnosis. Medicine
cannot be practiced over data lines. If anything, these puzzles should
demonstrate the pratfalls of assuming too much, or acting in the absence
of adequate knowledge.
