The expression "spine-tingling" is common, and seemingly everyone has experienced the sensation it refers to. I am curious about the biological basis for this sensation, which seems to have triggers seated in mental processes. Can somebody who knows about this please tell me what's going on when a thought I think triggers this stange, physical sensation? I've been wondering about this for years, but I've never heard anyone explain it from the pysiological point of view. I'd really appreciate it muchly if followup posters would also mail to me, as I don't read these newsgroups failthfully.
