I was holding back a few of my "clues" to see if anyone else had interpreted them differently. I seem to remember a parrot in one part of the story saying "Time is the prime subjective" or something to that effect. I believe Sam was a 11-15 when he first saw An. An was around that age when she became his wife. This is one book that remains a mystery to me. The reviews for it were good but they all side stepped the issue of explaining the book. ------
