I was beginning to wonder whether my dislike of the later books in the series was due to my own denseness. Herbert was on the Larry King radio show several months ago. As I recall he said something to the effect that at first he did not like the film but that changes were made. (Could one of the changes have involved the amount of money Herbert received from the producers?).
