Musk-Watz refers, I believe, to Samuel Moskowitz, SF historian and anthologist I suspect he's the god of wind because of his long-time activities in fandom. Furman is clearly Edward L. Ferman, editor of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, hence his power over FASF.
