Hmmm, is that a technical term or just a neat word out of the >OED? It is an important technical concept for anyone hoping to discern the underlying natural order of USENET postings. The Spamhead Hypothesis explains a great deal by the simple and compelling thesis that the reason so many postings sound like moronic gibber is because that is what they are. You state you are a new net.person, perhaps this insight will come to you in time. >While I agree with neither one of you, I do not find it necessary to call >people names and insult their intelligence. Well, I must be different from you, then. Possibly you can learn to live with it. But this misses the point that I was really interested in *why* so many spamheads were posting on this topic. Since it is difficult to find euphemisms for "spamhead", I didn't try. BTW, can you answer the question, and are you aware it is a real one based on what I perceive to be actually the case? ucbvax!garnet!gsmith Gene Ward Smith/Brahms Gang/Berkeley CA 94720 ucbvax!bosco!gsmith "Slime is the agony of water" -- Jean-Paul Sartre
