[sci.crypt] Secure Contingent Plans

When playing games like Go and Chess by electronic mail,
it would be convenient to send not just your next move,
but several moves (contingent on your opponent's moves).

The problem is that you don't want your opponent to
use information about your next moves when
planning his moves.

Can anyone think of a protocol to do this?

Such a protocol might also allow quicker
negotiations over a slow communications channel.
