mae@vygr.UUCP (05/06/87)

In the Iran/Contra hearings yesterday, Mr. Secord mentioned a KL-43 encryption device
supplied to Oliver North by the NSA. Anybody know what it is?

A LK-43 is an "off-line alphanumeric encrypt/decrypt device with
challenge/reply authentication" according to the NSA's cryptographic products
list. It is made by TRW.
