[sci.crypt] searching for software & sources

malko@altger (12/13/87)

Hello you you crypto types !

... i'm a high-school graduate (K13, fortunately only
half a year every-day school life). It's customary in German schools
that every pupil has to write a 'Facharbeit', a comptetent composition
(about 30- pages volume) upon a workmanlike theme. For my own part I
chose 'cryptology' to write about (in mathematics), because it's very
fascinating and i've already been working on one PK-System program
(... some problems with large numbers ...)
So much for the previous history ...

Therefore I'm searching for a survey about all (set in) cryptological stand-
ards and if availlible existing public domain software (running on a PC) or
src-Code (C,Pascal,Modula) of special utilities; and also information
about their definition of 'security' nowadays.
Especially: Lucifer, Feistel-Systems, 'DES', Public-Key Systems (RSA(W),
Diffie/Hellmann, Merkle/Hellmann, McEliece (and other modifi-
            cated knapsack systems))

Does anyone have sth. written or know where I can start looking for
information ?

Ralph
