[sci.crypt] Unix Password CRACKER

Re: The program listing of a "Unix Password Hacker":

Many of us computer scientists have been pained to hear the term
"hacking" frequently (mis)used, mainly by the popular news media, to
mean breaking into computers. This is only one kind of "hacking", and
is now more appropriately being called "cracking", rather like safe
cracking. Traditionally, "hacking" just means programming, usually in
a seat-of-the-pants style.

How about calling the program a "Unix Password Cracker", which is more
descriptive and lets "hacking" retain some respectability?
