Re: The program listing of a "Unix Password Hacker": Many of us computer scientists have been pained to hear the term "hacking" frequently (mis)used, mainly by the popular news media, to mean breaking into computers. This is only one kind of "hacking", and is now more appropriately being called "cracking", rather like safe cracking. Traditionally, "hacking" just means programming, usually in a seat-of-the-pants style. How about calling the program a "Unix Password Cracker", which is more descriptive and lets "hacking" retain some respectability?
