We've just entered the retail software business and are searching for the best way to verify credit card numbers. Our woefully backward bank says that to use their auto-verify machine we have to have the actual card to run through it, which of course is impossible for phone orders. Otherwise, we're stuck calling a person via 800 number who just types into HIS computer the stuff I'm reading from mine! This seems utterly ridiculous. Could someone point me to a machine that's plug-compatible with the "gotta have the card" machine but lets me key in the numbers, or, better yet, some way to dialup modem access and fill out a form, send by UUCP, etc.,etc.? Thanks in advance. -- Mark McWiggins UUCP: uunet!intek01!mark DISCLAIMER: I could be wrong. INTERNET: intek01!mark@uunet.uu.net (206) 455-9935
