KCM

At the foot of the Romantischstrasse lies Augsburg,
Past crenellated castles
And along from dumpy Dachau.
It is there that Siemens' dwarves
Are building the machine,
The Knowledge Cruncher Machine,
A Prolog engine.
The European Manufacturer's team in Munich
Have slaved for years,
Conceiving prototype after prototype,
Talkative Bruno the workhorse,
And now KCM is complete.
The dwarves of Augsburg have commenced construction.
It will be my Christmas present.
I will talk to it in the New Year.
The future is on the way.
A computer that can sift a giant database
In the time taken to boil a cup of tea.
