[net.sf-lovers] Spider Robinson - counter review

brad@looking.UUCP (Brad Templeton) (12/23/84)

I can't say I agree with the review of Spider Robinson. After
reading Mindkiller, my impression was, "this guy writes just like
Heinlein - only not as well."

R.A.H. is Robinson's personal hero. Robinson even thinks the Number
of the Beast was a great book. It's no wonder he copies the style
exactly. But if you want that style, read the master himself, at least
in his older stores.

I have also met Robinson at a Con, and didn't find him that impressive.
Just my opinion, of course.
