[misc.misc] HP deskwriter fonts

dtiberio@csserv1.ic.sunysb.edu (David Tiberio) (11/30/90)

My friend has an SE with the HP deskwriter. She doesn't like the print quality
of the built in font, and would like to use her external fonts. She can do
that, but says that every font has to be "bit mapped" every time she tries
to print a document...and she prints many documents as she is a teacher.

She said that someone showed her how to do it without bit mapping every time
she tries to print something, but doesn't remember how it was done without
the internal fonts. :)

Your friend can use ATM to get better font output. It costs only about $50 from mail order. Also, system 7 has a new font structure that does the same thing for free.
