[net.music] Classics

[chomp]

I feel sort of silly contributing to this stupidity, but since someone
mentioned Oxygene and Equinoxe by Jean-Michel Jarre, I figured I'd have
to add Magnetic Fields (Les Chants Magnetiques) to "the list"; in my
opinion it's his best album.

While I'm at it, I'm wondering how many people out there are Mannheim
Steamroller afficionados. As far as I know Fresh Aire I through V are
not well enough known to be grouped in with "classics", but they're
certainly responsible for a good fraction of the music that comes out
of my stereo. If anyone has any comments, or whatever, I'd be thrilled
to find out.

Yeah Mannheim Steamroller!! I must admit that I'm not real familiar with
Fresh Aires I and II, but III and IV are excellent. I've heard V twice and
am extremely impressed! Everyone should be exposed to this stuff.

Mannheim Steamroller's Fresh Aire series should definitely qualify as
classics. Their mixture of classical and contempory themes has to be heard
to be believed!!! If you haven't heard them, do so.
